Word is, as its name suggests, the word processing element of the Office Suite of programs, unfortunately, s ome users merely use Word as an electronic typewriter; however, it is much more than that as delegates find out during our courses.

Microsoft Word Foundation
This course is designed for new users to Word who wish to learn basic document skills including entering and formatting text, spell checking and setting up the document ready to print. By the end of this course, the delegate will be able to open, save and close files; change how the document looks (Formatting); make use of Tables and Columns; and print out the document.

Microsoft Word Intermediate
This course is designed for delegates who already have a basic knowledge of Word and wish to further their skills in enhancing the layout and presentation of documents. The course includes creation of tabs and tables as well as headers and footers and using borders and shading. It also looks at creating bulleted lists and a further look at Tables. In addition some of the automatic text features and graphic ability of the product are also looked at. Finally, arguably one of the most widely used features of Word - Mail Merge - is dealt with.

Microsoft Word Advanced
The advanced course concentrates on those features that assist in the production of longer, more complicated documents and automating repetitive tasks by concentrating on Templates and Styles; Sections and Master Documents; Bookmarks and, finally, Macros.

Long Documents in Word
A course focussed specifically on features within Microsoft Word that help you to create professional looking longer documents, such as reports, technical manuals, proposals and academic work. The day includes looking at a range of features from all of the courses above including sections, page breaks, tables of contents and references, foot and end notes, styles, formatting and creating ‘ebooks’ using the document map and hyperlinks.
