Telephone Skills (code TESK)

A one-day course that looks at how great an impact you can have on the success of your organisation by the first impressions you give when answering the phone. Also applicable to handling internal communications by phone.

  • Understanding how the telephone can be used to promote good customer relations.
  • Having the confidence and skills to control calls and increase success through professional telephone techniques.
  • Using an effective structure to handle calls successfully.
  • The theory and practice of dealing with difficult callers.
  • Using a ‘house style’ to sound more professional (we ask delegates to bring their organisations own house style so that we can integrate into the training).
  • Opportunities to practice dealing with calls in a ‘safe’ environment with immediate feedback on areas for development.

Prerequisites none, although an understanding of your house style would be useful
