An Introduction to Management (code INMG)

A two-day event that covers the fundamentals of the management role. The course takes you on a journey through the basics of leading people through the intricacies of motivation, development and handling those difficult individuals that we have to manage on a day-to-day basis.

  • Identifying strengths and development areas in yourself, others and your work.
  • Setting SMART objectives for yourself and other people, which you can monitor and achieve.
  • Building an effective team.
  • Delivering effective and constructive feedback.
  • Changing your management style to reflect the make up of your team.
  • Delegating successfully.
  • Understand individual motivations for success.
  • Communicate assertively to get results.
  • Manage yourself better to achieve your key targets and objectives.

Duration 2 days
Prerequisites none, although we would recommend that attendees are in, or have recently achieved a management role.
