TRAIN / ACCOUNTING/ EXCEL
Microsoft Excel Foundation
This course is aimed at those delegates who are new to the product, more experienced users may find it useful to refresh some of the "basics" before progressing on to the more advanced levels.
By the end of the course, delegates will be able to be able to input data into a worksheet by using some of the "shortcuts" that are part of Excel; Insert and delete rows, columns and cells; and change how the information that you have in your spreadsheet looks. In addition, they will have created formulas and charts, finally printing it all out for the world to see!
Microsoft Excel Intermediate
On completion of this course, the delegate will be able to use Conditional Formatting (very useful for highlighting exceptions in data tables); Some of the more detailed Functions that are available for data manipulation; and begin to make use of the database functionality that is a part of Excel. In addition, a more detailed look at charts and linking between sheets is also covered.
Microsoft Excel Advanced
This course looks at the features in Excel, which make the production of forecasts and analysis of data relatively straightforward. The main areas covered on this course are Importing data; "What if?" analysis; Pivot Tables (very useful for "on the fly" data analysis) and Macros.
Using Excel to analyse your business
This course is for those who already have data captured (or summarised) electronically, but would like to use Excel to focus on detailed analysis of their information to assist in the decision-making process. It covers elements from all three of the courses above and assumes some basic knowledge of Excel.
Business Modelling in Excel
Aimed mainly at people who work in finance and business modelling, this course helps users take full advantage of the analysis tools included as part of the Excel program. It covers some basic “good practice” for building effective spreadsheets as well as some of the more advanced techniques that Excel has in its armoury such as Databases, Pivot Tables and advanced Functions.
Delegates should already be very comfortable with using the basics of Excel. Some financial modelling or accountancy background, while not essential, will be very useful
